2009 AmCham U.S. Consulate Briefing

2009 U.S. Consulate Briefing was held at Grand Hyatt, Guangzhou on April 21^st . Consul General Mr. Robert Goldberg and Senior Consulate Officials of United States Consulate General Guangzhou joined our Chamber for this annual event. AmCham South China Board of Governors, officers from the People’s government of Guangdong Province, friends from foreign Consulate and AmCham members got together at the event.

After the remark by the AmCham South China president Harley Seyedin, Consul General Goldberg and the top-ranking consular team delivered presentations on the departments priorities, current status of U.S.-China Relations, effect on American business interests and future plans to more than 100 attendees. Consul General Mr. Robert Goldberg emphasized the importance of the close relationship between U.S. and China. The current status of U.S. and China relations and its effect is critical to American business interests. Leaders of every section of the Consulate briefed the function of different department in the consulate general Guangzhou.

At the Q & A section, boards of governors and some members asked some questions they faced and cared. Senior Consulate Officials from different section answered questions and gave some suggestions accordingly. That was a good chance for the community to learn more information and rules about consulate general Guangzhou at the event.
