---- Radio Guangdong’s Coverage Report on AmCham South China’s Charity Trip to Changyuan Village, an Impoverished County in Northeastern Guangdong’s Meizhou City

On January 7 & 8, 2015, The American Chamber of Commerce in South China (AmCham South China) as part of its AmCham-Mead Johnson Charity Effort, brought a large group of business and community leaders including executives from multinational corporations to Chang Yuan Village to deliver material support to the impoverished villagers.

Under the administration of Meizhou City, Chang Yuan Village has a population of 3,125 individuals, approximately 20 percent of whom are “poverty-stricken” by official measurements. AmCham South China’s collection efforts have resulted in materiel worth RMB 1,216,006, including clothing, bedding, hygiene products, educational materials and toys.
