President of AmCham South China Says during

Meeting of Foreign-Invested Companies:

“Guangzhou is the Best Place for Investment”

“Guangzhou City, where a majority of our member companies are headquartered, represents the best investment area for all companies,” President of the American Chamber of Commerce in South China, Dr. Harley Seyedin, commented on the business environment of Guangzhou at the Meeting of Foreign-invested Companies on the morning of Sep 15.

“毋庸置疑，这座我们绝大多数会员企业设立总部的城市是投资的最佳之地。”9月15日上午，在广州市召开的外商投资企业座谈会上，华南美国商会会长哈利·赛亚丁博士用这样的话评价了广州的营商环境。

Sep 15, the Mayor of Guangzhou, Mr. Wen Guohui, and 15 representatives from foreign-invested companies and foreign organization gathered in the same room and shared ideas on the development of the city.

9月15日，广州市市长温国辉与15λ来自外商投资企业及商协会的代表Χ坐一堂，听取外商们对广州发展的真知灼见。

Dr. Harley Seyedin, President of the American Chamber of Commerce in South China, said that Guangzhou is very important to the more than 2,300 members of the Chamber. “Guangzhou is home to me and my family. My three sons are being raised in Guangzhou. I would not want to raise my children anywhere else.”

华南美国商会会长哈利·赛亚丁博士表示，广州对于华南美国商会属下2300 多家会员企业来说十分重要。“广州是我的家， 我的3 个儿子在这里长大。广州是我们的不二之选。”

He indicated that a majority of the Chamber’s member companies are headquartered in Guangzhou. The city offers the best infrastructure, best transportation system complete with superhighways, high-speed rail network, modern airport, efficient ports, and waterway. Moreover, Guangzhou offers the best state-of-the-art telecommunication network, the best supply chain, the best primary, secondary, and university education, and the brightest minds in research and development. It also offers the highest quality of life complete with great theaters and opera houses, parks, restaurants, and finest residential properties. And all of this is backed by a highly professional, mature and pro-business government.

哈利·赛亚丁博士表示，华南美国商会属下绝大多数会员企业总部均设于广州。广州有最优的基建和交通系统，其中包括高速公·、高铁网络、现代化机场、高效港口；也有国内最先进的电信网络、供应链、义务教育及高等教育，还有研发领域的高级人才。在广州能找到高质量的剧院、电影院、公园、餐馆及居住区。这一切都是高度专业、成熟、促商的政府的体现。

Dr. Harley Seyedin also unveiled the study result from the Chamber’s 2017 Special Report on the State of Business in South China: AmCham South China’s member companies in South China report higher rates of profitability in the region than other places. The primary reasons for their investment in Guangzhou are the facts that the Guangzhou Government is more progressive, open and transparent than other areas. And that it has better infrastructure and talented workforce. Of those planning to establish an office in a Free Trade Zone in China, 48% have chosen China (Guangdong) FTZ Nansha Area of Guangzhou.

哈利·赛亚丁博士还分享了华南美国商会《2017年华南地区经济情况特别报告》中得到的研究结果：华南美国商会的会员企业在华南地区的盈利率高于其他地区。受访企业在穗投资的首要因素是广州市政府高效、开放、透明，在基建及人力资源方面遥遥领先。在有意在华自ó区设点的企业中，48%选择了广州市南沙自ó区。

“Considering the above results, one can say without hesitation that Guangzhou City, where a majority of our member companies are headquartered, represents the best investment area for all companies, especially those wishing to produce products and services for sale to the Chinese market,” concluded Dr. Harley Seyedin.

“总的来说，毋庸置疑，这座我们绝大多数会员企业设立总部的城市是投资的最佳之地，对于面向国内市场生产、销售产品及服务的企业更是如此。” 哈利·赛亚丁博士说。
