Vote in the U.S. General Election

-Be an absentee voter, not an absentee citizen!

AmCham will host an all-day party for you to celebrate the 2016 U.S. Presidential Election on November 9th (Beijing Time)-Mark Your Calendar!!

  • Register to Vote and request absentee ballots before the Election Day-November 8th (US Time)
  • The forms can be download from www.FVAP.gov

The Nov. 8 general election is an important one, and voter-registration deadlines are approaching fast.

Overseas citizens who are 18 years or older are eligible to vote absentee and can request their ballots be e-mailed, faxed or mailed to them.

Registration deadlines differ by state, starting in early October. However, its best to register to vote and request absentee ballots well in advance of Election Day.

Everyone who wants to vote should send in a new Federal Post Card Application.

The U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou is also available to answer your questions. Please call 020-8518-7605, e-mail GuangzhouACS@state.gov, or visit the American Citizen Services Unit from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. or 1 to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
