AmCham South China Delegation Returns for More Success at its Twenty-Second CIFIT in Xiamen
XIAMEN, CHINA – September 7, 2025 – The award-winning American Chamber of Commerce in South China (AmCham South China) delegation, led by the Chamber’s President Dr. Harley Seyedin, arrived in Xiamen today to attend the 25th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT). The delegation, in its twenty-second year, is comprised of senior executives from a diverse range of industries, including manufacturing, technology, construction, financial services, and professional consulting.
During the three-day trip, President Seyedin will deliver opening remarks at the China Provinces-U.S. States Economic and Trade Cooperation Seminar. He emphasized the seminar’s significance in fostering pragmatic cooperation in green technology, resilient supply chains, and sustainable development to drive future growth.
Additionally, the AmCham South China delegation will hold dedicated meetings with senior government officials, including leadership representatives from Fujian and Guizhou provinces, to facilitate targeted and in-depth dialogues on investment opportunities and local business environment.
Dr. Harley Seyedin, Chairman and President of AmCham South China, winner of 2017 Oslo Business for Peace Award (together with Elon Musk, Durreen Shahnaz and Murad Al-Katib), which is awarded by an Award Committee of Nobel Laureates in Peace and Economics, stated, “CIFIT serves as a critical nexus for global investment and partnership. Our delegation’s active participation underscores the continued commitment of American businesses to the Chinese market. Despite evolving global economic dynamics, the fundamentals of the Chinese market—its scale, innovation, and complete supply chain—remain deeply attractive to our members. CIFIT is instrumental in helping them navigate the landscape, identify synergies, and foster the collaboration that drives mutual growth. Since 2010, AmCham member companies have signed over two billion dollars on average in each of the past years at CIFIT.”
President Seyedin added that AmCham South China’s CIFIT delegation has made tremendous achievements over the past 20 years and its members have achieved huge business success at CIFIT for many years. “We attribute the success of our delegation to the excellent organization and the high-quality arrangement and service provided by the CIFIT Organizing Committee. I would like to extend my congratulations to MOFCOM, the Investment Promotion Agency of MOFCOM, Xiamen and Fujian leaders, and the CIFIT Organizing Committee for undertaking and delivering the highest level of professional excellence. AmCham South China will, as always, return to the beautiful city of Xiamen every year to support this important event.” Dr. Seyedin said.
