Location of Parent/Holding Company

As for the location of the respondents’ parent company or holding company, the
share of Mainland China-headquartered companies accounts for 39.5%, rising
dramatically from 22.3% in 2015, while the proportion of U.S.-headquartered companies
declined to 33.8%, from 46.3% in 2015. Similar to previous years, Hong Kong or Macau
SAR-headquartered companies occupy the third place with 14%.
