VER STORY

Ms. Nipatsorn Kampa

Thailand Acting Consul General in Guangzhou

The Thai Consulate in Guangzhou will soon
be an all-female consulate, and this is not
the first time. As I mentioned before, things
have been improved, especially during the past
two decades. We had seen fewer stereotypical
comments or discussions on the unfair
treatment of women. But now the discussion
is more focused on performance and gender
equity which includes all genders. The new
generation in Thai will be preferred to be
recognized for what they are worth, how they
perform, not because of their sexes. For us, the
key message is that all genders work together
to help address many issues we are now facing,
to help make progress in national development,
particularly equality, gender equity, and
education and environment. We do hope we can
promote a more inclusive, gender equality.

Ms. Lucia Pasqualini

Italy Consul General in Guangzhou

Life is a journey, full of challenges and
opportunities. And believe me, it’s truly
Challenging. But it’s all about how we face
them. I am not perfect, I don’t believe in
perfectionism, I don’t think perfection exists.
Each one of us is unique and is a beautiful
human being, we need to find our way,
our path to listen to ourselves, women
particularly. We often doubt ourselves if we
are not in the right place.it’s important to
have an open approach to being curious. If
we really want to improve the world to be a
true gender-balanced society. We must be
positive and open. We don’t need to imitate, I
think we are ready to be ourselves and ready
to stand out and speak our opinions.
